ARTIST TALKS
Dirk Eicken & Lisa Glauer Artist Talk
In front of Eicken's monumental Menninops II, Lisa Glauer and Dirk Eicken will reflect on his artistic practice and the pivotal role painting plays within it. His fascination with painting, both as an act and as one of the central pillars of art history, runs through his work like a continuous thread.
Together, we will peel back the layers of paint, reference, and meaning that define Dirk Eicken's work, uncovering not only what lies beneath the surface, but what painting itself can still reveal.
Finally, we will cast an eye forward, exploring the future of painting and the role it will continue to play in shaping the art of tomorrow.
